Author Bio

Dr. Shirley Layne Ph.D. is the author of “Job Descriptions as a Feedback Tool: A Quantitative Study to Improve Performance Appraisals Practices” (2019), and five series of Layne’s Puzzle Books with the theme of Macroeconomics: Exploring national incomes received from local and foreign firms that are recorded on the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and the Gross National Product (GNP) lists. The first Puzzle Book theme is “Idea, Pies, Sell, Pays and Item”; the second Puzzle Book theme is “Earn Gain, Sell, Good and Ends” the third Puzzle Book theme is “Keys, Gain, Sell Good and Know” the fourth Puzzle Book theme is “Type, Fact, Sell, Firm and This”; and the fifth Puzzle Book theme is “Fill, Note, Sell, Next and Four” (2021). Dr. Layne’s educational and career backgrounds include over 17 years of business administration learning about business theories which included Macroeconomics and writing about theories on business administration and the practice of theories in businesses.

In 2021, she applied her learning about Macroeconomics to her Puzzle Books to show the framework from accounting standards on made in America products through the appearance of the incomes received from these products on the GDP and GNP lists. And, other perspectives on these incomes in her Puzzle Books. Finally, she is married, a mother, grandmother and have lots of relatives and friends. She lives in Grandview, MO, and enjoys comedy, cooking, dancing, doing puzzles and reading. Plus, she is a member of the National Society of Leadership and Success, Northcentral University.
